Optimization of Air-cooling System for a Lithium-ion Battery Pack

Lithium-ion batteries have been used as energy storage technologies for electric vehicles or power plants due to their high density, low self-discharge rate, and long lifespan. Since the temperature of are directly related with durability, distributing uniformly efficiently is critically important. In this study, a technology using forced convection air was implemented remove heat battery cells inside package. The performance cooling system evaluated by changing gap distance between configurations channel. order improve battery, shape module optimized. To begin optimization process, sensitivity analysis conducted analyze influence design parameters on performance. Based result from analysis, an process performed determine optimum channel design. As optimization, cell package lowest maximum minimum deviation in each selected.
